History: At the height of the recession, Nehemiah had struggled to begin two new phases of the Draymont Ridge development on the northern side of the site overlooking the hardwood forest. Spartanburg County had allocated funding for single family homes to be built in the existing Draymont neighborhood and property owners in the neighborhood were unwilling to sell their property.
Challenge: Nehemiah needed to find a solution to complete the 12 homes to be built for Spartanburg County.
Solution: Nehemiah decided to pursue a longer plan for homeownership by constructing attached townhouses with 6 units to a building. The first two buildings with 12 three bedroom two bath units were constructed in 2011. The remaining two buildings with identical design are now under construction.
