History: In 2011, the City of Anderson asked Nehemiah to assist in developing a new subdivision along McCully Street, which the City had targeted for development. They were anxious to have more quality single family homes near to their downtown area. The City owned land along the street that they were willing to sell to a non-profit.
Challenge: Construct quality, affordable single family homes in the midst of a recession.
Solution: Nehemiah was able to combine HOME funding with S.C. Housing Trust Fund, and bank financing to complete 10 three bedroom single family homes in two phases over a period of two years.
